Stay Compliant: November 2025 Tax Deadlines

As the brisk autumn air gives way to the holiday season, keeping pace with tax deadlines is crucial for ensuring compliance and avoiding unnecessary stress. It’s essential to have your tax tasks prioritized and well-managed to stay trouble-free.

November 10 – Reporting Tips to Your Employer

If you're receiving tips as part of your income and have earned more than $20 in tips during October 2025, it's mandatory to report these to your employer using IRS Form 4070 by November 10. Your employer will then apply the appropriate FICA taxes and income tax withholdings to these tips from your standard paycheck. Should your regular wages not suffice to cover the taxes, the uncollected withholding will be noted in box 8 of your W-2. This amount must be reconciled when you file your annual tax return.

Flexibility for Weekends & Holidays:

When tax deadlines coincide with weekends or legal holidays, they are automatically extended to the following business day that's free from holiday encumbrances. This provides some leeway in planning your tax obligations effectively.
